I started out by cutting out the lower panels of the facade window panels - when I assembled the model first, I i) didn't consider I would need more doors than that single one in the middle (seriously; how are millions of pilgrims supposed to get through that? and ii) didn't have enough Pegasus doorways. Since I bought another Pegasus kit to make my Thunderhawk I had a couple more.
Gluing them in place was no big deal . . .
. . . and so I started work on a mezzanine floor inside.
The Pegasus kits have slots to fit them together in various configurations - which leaves little holes on the columns. A couple of these I had to cover with plasticard to fill other gaps (the white vertical bars above) but for the others I just used the gargoyles, lights and blank plugs Pegasus thoughtfully provides for the purpose! This fills gaps and adds a nice level of detail to the piece.
Pleased with all this, I started work on the very tippy-tops of the towers (these will have bells in them). Unfortunately, this picture does not show the actual work I did on them today (the roofline) nor does it show the completion of the mezzanine floor, because I am a terrible cameraman.
