July 28th & 29th 2023: Black Templars
It was clear I wasn't going to sell any of the Infernus Marines - they are common as pig tracks on ebay (not that pig tracks are common on ebay, but that Infernus Marines are as common on ebay as pig tracks are in ... wherever pig tracks are. I don't claim to be an expert on pig tracks nor, now I come to think of it, have I ever seen any so I wonder how common they can be.)
Anyway - I wasn't going to sell the Infernus Marines so I purchased a Black Templar Crusader sprue (+5 models to golf! :( ) and kitbashed the three Initiates with five Infernus Marines and made eight Black Templar models. These will be the Crusader-allies of William Martial, one of the Winter Lions.

July 25th to 27th 2023: Sororitas
No pictures, but I have done a little bit of painting each night. Also; I sold another model! (And I sold some bits - which is good for cash, but not for golf!) So, here is where Miniature Golf stands;

Miniature Golf
Oh dear ...
It became clear I was not going to sell the second boxed-set of Leviathan as a whole ... and that was the only justification I was using ("these are not models ... this is an investment I will sell") to not count them against my golf score. The 'Nid models were also very nice and having an army of xenos seemed like a fun thing, and some extra Marines would be good for the Winter Lions.
So, I cracked the box open. Some of it has been sold on eBay but the rest has not.
Here is where golf stands;
- 2x Marine halves of Leviathan +50 models
- Full box of Leviathan +72 models
- Blood Angels painted -25
- Models sold -2
TOTAL +95
EDIT: Since writing, I have sold another model! So, total is now +94! Impressive!

July 19th & 20th 2023: The Ravenspurn Knights
Converted the third set of Sternguard into the Knights of Henry IV, lead by Thomas Fitzalan. These are footslogging Ravenwing, and the inspiration is Henry Bolingbroke's arrival in England at Ravenspurn. They do not wear the sculpted lion helmets of the rest of the Chapter because the right for the rank-and-file to wear such thing was achieved during the Legionnaires' Revolt under Richard II, which Henry IV was not party to.

July 17th & 18th 2023: The Savoyard Knights
These probably won't be called the Savoyard Knights - but that is what they are inspired by; the Knights from Savoy in service to Edward I. They will be painted up as Howling Griffons, who will be in service to Edward I as a fulfillment of some oath caused by a life-debt or somesuch ... not sure on the details, but the inspiration is that they are like foreign knights!

July 9th 2023: Blood Angels Marines
Finished all these guys off! To be fair, a lot of them just needed final details and I was deliberately delaying finishing them so I could fight the good fight when it came to Summer Miniature Golf. But that is 25 models complete, so my Golf score right now is merely +25 (50 Marines from Leviathan bought, and 25 finished).
In addition to a solid start on Golf, these models represent the last models needed to create a FULL BATTLE COMPANY OF FIRSTBORN MARINES! That's got to be a worthy achievement.

Miniature Golf Update
Summer season is on us, and my miniature golf score is not - right now - looking good. I have taken delivery of a copy of Leviathan and swapped the 'Nids for Marines. That is +50 Marine models (not including two little teleport homer tokens!) I have painted nothing.
But I also bought a second copy of Leviathan - I got it "just in case" and so I could pass it on to someone who was less fortunate and couldn't get a copy. But, it seems everyone did... so I have a spare copy! I am not counting it as "models" unless I open it - otherwise, it is just something I bought to sell! That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!
