Workstation: 29 November 2018

A workstation from Miniature Scenery which I bought for myself thinking I might have a space in my new office at work, but the building deal fell through so . . . meh, whatever. It's very nice. I need to spend time this weekend reorganizing my space.

Blackstone Fortress: 28 November 2018

I built this Chaotic boi (conversion) but spent most of the night playing a test game (with myself) of Blackstone Fortress, getting the hang of the rules. I really like it - it is simple and fun, but rewards tactical play I think. Good game. Will play a proper game with friends this Friday.

Blackstone Fortress Explorers: 26 November 2018

Blackstone Fortress arrived and so I assembled the explorers. I took the opportunity to add a magnet to Fat Space Pope (TM) so he could stand on the front of a vehicle I have had incomplete for years and years (at least a decade and a half) and which is undergoing extensive restoration and modification. The model is great, and I want it to do double duty!

Sororitas Immolator: 25 November 2018

A rescue job - I got the old skool Rhino as part of an eBay job-lot, and it had been assembled badly with crusted superglue, painted with what looked like latex housepaint, and was just generally speaking a state. A long soak in Simple Green and some series scrubbing, sanding and scraping got it clean and a raid of the bitz box added some unique Sororitas design. A simple paint scheme, and the job's a good un!

Thanksgiving: 21 and 22 November 2018

I didn't get anything done on these two days as I was getting ready for Thanksgiving and then celebrating the holiday (with all the required cooking).

Scenery: 19 and 20 November 2018

The statue of the Emperor frosted with the clear coat, and so I had to do a fix job on it - I applied some verdigris wash and then drybrushed more gold and bronze over it, so it looked old and weathered. Some PVA glue and bits of flock gave some color to both scenery pieces.

Cloak: 15 to 18 November 2018

Well, nothing "wargaming hobby" related - but I did spend these days making a cloak for my co-worker who is always cold in the office. She is playing in the 40K RPG I am running and so I made the cloak patterned after the one worn by her character in the RPG :)

The Gifts of Nurgle: 5 to 14 November 2018

Grandfather Nurgle has blessed me - and I think I was sicker than I really thought (I am still coughing). I did not take much time off work, but I was so tired and drained when I got home I didn't want to do anything.

I did do some work - putting some greenery on a scenery piece, a bit of painting here and there, some clear coat on a scenery piece which frosted like a bastard and is still being repaired . . . there was a gaming night or two in there as well, but nothing really to speak of.

Statue: 4 November 2018

A completed scenery piece; I'd had it partially finished for a while but I needed to cast some columns and finish converting a couple of the subordinate statues. That and a quick paint job finished it off. The central statue is, of course, Sanguinius and the subordinate statues represent the military, the religion, the administrators and the laborers - the foundations of the Imperium.

A bit of a random collection; some texture on the scenery, a coat of gold and a wash on the statue of the Emperor, and the Voidsmen glued to some Necromunda bases which arrived today.
