A bit of assembly tonight, of the Raging Heroes Sisters of the Chalice. These are their Terminator equivalents. A lot has been said about Raging Heroes - the overt sexism, the weird proportions, the fact they are GW knock-offs that don't quite match with the figures they knock off.
I did not buy any of the "normal" RH Sisters, because the armor design is different to the GW ones (and plastics are coming!) but I bought these to use as a special unit (they are going to be the "Pillars of Verity", the force that defends the statue at the peak of the mountain).
They are very tall, as you can see, but most of that size is in the legs. They have very narrow waists and heavy legs - the proportions are not so much
wrong (although they are "wrong") as
different. I am not sure if the proportions are any "worse" than GW or any other manufacturer - rather, they are simply "differently exaggerated". They look weird next to GW figures because of this, not because they themselves are any more exaggerated or weird. It is like seeing a Wayne England figure inside a John Blanche drawing - both look good on their own, but together the effect is jarring.
